Week 3 Predictions

Week 3 – Predictions

LEGENDS (3-3) vs. PHARAOHS (2-4)

Legends got back on track with a full lineup and pitching staff last week taking the series from the Cajuns. While the Pharaohs continued to flash some brilliance with a combined no-hitter last week in a series loss against the Vaderz. Legends lineup will be missing Corral, but the pitching will be intact. Pharaoh’s defense did improve last week, and Barden looked good on the mound in the absence of Baxa. Too much pitching and enough offense.

LEGENDS (2-1) – TANIC – PHARAOHS (2-1)

SNAPPERS (3-2) vs. SANDVIPERS (3-3)

This battle of PLW Original 5 teams should be a slugfest, weather cooperating. The Snappers lineup is deeper than originally thought at the beginning of the season, with the additions of Topel & Kennedy. Tomolo and Gregg are no slouches at the bottom of the lineup. And the pitching staff looks more like Season 4. Sandvipers on the other hand, the pitching is still looking to find that ace to anchor their staff. The offense is still dangerous, and the defense is still very good. Snappers better pitching and a deeper lineup.

SNAPPERS (2-1) – TANIC – SANDVIPERS (2-1)

ONES (2-4) vs. VADERZ (3-3)

This was a championship series just a couple of seasons ago. This one will be to see if the Ones can rebound from a rough series last week and if this Vaderz team can get a series win and position themselves at the top half of the standings. Ones lineup has so many moving pieces it is hard to see them taking any series. But if they can add Stein, Chen, or Barrick to their standard pieces of AK, Gute, Peter and Bull, and one of the rookies’ steps in maybe. Vaderz must like that Roundy is looking good. Eder will find his stride. This may be that series.

VADERZ (2-1) *Sweep potential – TANIC – VADERZ (2-1)

BOMBERS (3-2) vs. CAJUNS (1-5)

For me this series is about 1 thing, offense. The Bombers have it, and so far, this season the Cajuns have NOT. The pitching advantage goes to the Cajuns, but only slightly. Lineup advantage Bombers, and the defense, the Bombers are sneaky good in the field. Hartwell & Salazar are lock down defenders. Too many Bombing Runs.

BOMBERS (2-1) – TANIC – CAJUNS (2-1)

LIGHTNING (5-1) vs. NIGHT OWLS (4-2)

If you look at the top of the standings, there are the two teams at the top. Lightning dominated through the first 2 weeks and the Night Owls were very impressive. Night Owls are playing with some fight and confidence, and this will be a nice test to see where they are at. The Lightning started fast last season and have continued to play well. The pitching has been overpowering and the lineup powerful. Can the Owls pitchers quiet the Lightning? And can the Owls put up enough runs to force the Lightning into a close game? Yes, they can, it just will not be enough.

LIGHTNING (2-1) – TANIC – NIGHT OWLS (3-0) SWEEP!!!
