Gunslingers win 1st Tournament in 2026

The Gunslingers are the September Tournament Champions after closing the day with a 2–0 shutout win over the Blitz in the championship game.

It was a complete team effort from start to finish. The Gunslingers opened tournament play with a tight 1–0 victory over the Savages, then battled the Blitz in an early matchup before responding with a dominant stretch to reach the final. They defeated the Sandvipers 12–2, blanked the Flamingos 8–0, and then earned their rematch with the Blitz for the title.

In the championship game, the Gunslingers’ pitching and defense set the tone. They held the Blitz off the board and did enough at the plate to secure the 2–0 win and bring home the tournament trophy.

The pitching staff was outstanding throughout the day. Ethan Behle went 2–0 with a 0.00 ERA over 11.2 innings, allowing no runs while striking out 11. Troy Linderman also went 2–0, posting a 1.09 ERA across 11 innings with 15 strikeouts. Together, they gave the Gunslingers the shutdown pitching they needed in every big moment.

At the plate, Derek Linderman led the way with an incredible .550 average and 1.321 OPS, collecting 11 hits and driving in six runs. Justin Nardello added two home runs and a 1.219 OPS, while Alex Clark hit .429 with a home run and four RBI. The lineup delivered timely hits all tournament long, especially as the games tightened late in the day.
