Brooksville Team goes 5-0 to claim victory
The first PLW tournament of 2026 is officially in the books, and the title stayed right here in Brooksville.
On June 20th, eight teams competed at the new PLW property in Brooksville, Florida, marking the first tournament event of the year and an important step forward for the next chapter of PLW. The tournament featured a full day of games across the turf and grass fields, bringing together local and regional players for a competitive opening event.
The Brooksville-based Pitching Peckers finished the day as tournament champions, defeating Balls Deep in the championship game to claim the June 20th title.
Austin Miller led the way on the mound for Brooksville and was named Tournament MVP after a strong performance throughout the event.

The win was a strong showing for the hometown group and a fitting start to tournament play at the new PLW facility.

Balls Deep finished as the tournament runner-up after making a run to the championship game.

With this being the first tournament at the new Brooksville property, the event was also an early look at what PLW is building for future tournaments, leagues, and live events. The facility is still continuing to grow, with more fields, more infrastructure, and a larger tournament calendar planned.

The next PLW tournament is scheduled for August 1st.
Registration opens July 1st.
The August event will continue the build toward a larger and more competitive tournament scene in Brooksville, with more teams, more fields, and more competition coming to the private PLW complex.
